First game of the tournament was against Gloucester Titans. The Hawks knew it was going to be a tough game but the team were focused and determined to win. The final score was 44-41 to the Hawks and although it was close their hard work paid off!

2nd game on the Saturday saw Hawks against the Caledonian Crushers. Despite Crushers having ex-GB player Mike Kerr on their side, the Hawks smashed them with a healthy lead of 61 Vs 25. This put the Hawks at the top of the pool!

Going into the Semi-Finals meant that the Hawks had to face Burn (west coast) this was always going to be a hard game. Burn had the power house Stuart Robinson who is currently a GB player. That being said the Hawks put on a strong fight and only lost by 6 points the final score was 40 vs 46.

The loss meant that the Hawks were now playing for 3rd and 4th guaranteeing the team at least 4th place maintaining their position from the last tournament. The last game of the weekend was against Gloucester (again) this time the Titans were focused and had a change of tactic which we struggled to compete against due to tiredness from the semi-finals. We lost 37 vs 43 and finished 4th that weekend.

After a great weekend of rugby and a solid result for the Hawks, Faye West (captain) won best in her class which ended the weekend on a real high for the team.

Overall the Hawks are currently positioned in joint second with three other teams. This makes the next super series very important and everything is still all to play for.

The next tournament is the 3rd/4th of March 2018 at Leicester Arena, you don’t want to miss it!!
